Before we begin
There are a couple things that need explaining before you continue further:
StacyPilot doesn't make videos
StacyPilot creates recordings. A recording is a piece of information about what happened in the game that you can replay later. For example a recording might contain information that lights were turned on or a camera was switched. Recordings are not videos.
StacyPilot is not magic
By default StacyPilot doesn't record anything. You need to insert or create add-ons for things you wish to record. An add-on is a short script that connects the thing you want to record and StacyPilot. Some add-ons require more setup than others, all steps will be listed when you get to that point. StacyPilot will not magically know you want to record something. You need to tell it to record something.
About this tutorial
This tutorial assumes you have at least basic knowledge of Roblox Studio.
The Installation
section contains information on how to add StacyPilot to your game. Even if someone did all the work for you already and you don't need to set up StacyPilot, you might still need to install the StacyPilot plugin to insert recordings. Please read at least the first step in the installation section.
The Usage
section explains everything about the StacyPilot panel and how to use it.
The technical corner
has information on how to use StacyPilot with your own scripts and how to write your own add-ons. You don't need to read this if you don't plan to do that. It assumes you have at least basic knowledge of scripting.
If this is your first time trying out StacyPilot, you shouldn't skip any pages. Read everything in the Installation
and Usage
sections and use the Next
button at the bottom of every page.
